I am so excited to share my passion with you!

 

Kaleena Cakes was born out of my love for all things crafty. I have always been inspired by different craft projects be it sewing, scrapbooking or baking.  I have done it all! When my son was just a few weeks old my my cousin asked if I would take a cake decorating class with her. I thought, "Why not, now that I am a mom I would love to be able to make really cool birthday cakes for my kids". It was so much fun!! It sparked a new passion for me and brought my love of crafting and love of baking together. As I practiced by making cakes for friends and family word started to spread and soon people I didn’t know were asking me to make cakes for their special occasions. As my hobby grew I realized I might be able to help support my family doing something I LOVE while keeping flexibility in my schedule to be there for my kids. I quit my job working in a dental office, built a licensed commercial kitchen in my home and started Kaleena Cakes.

 

Today we are a team of cake decorating mommas.  We love the way people's faces light up when we reveal the creation we have made just for them and that is what drives us to put our hearts into every cake that leaves our kitchen. We put countless hours into testing and developing recipes to find what we think is the perfect blend of taste and texture.  All of the recipes we use have been tested and perfected. Everything that comes out of the Kaleena Cakes kitchen is made fresh to order using only real ingredients! Whenever possible we buy from local suppliers and fruit growers.  Nothing beats the flavor of freshly prepared cakes and fillings using fresh eggs, buttermilk and our local okanagan grown fruit.  We are proud to be one of the few custom cake companies who owns and operates our own fully licensed, inspected and insured commercial kitchen.
